Alex & Matt | Intimate Destination Wedding
/Matt & Alex have had quite the journey to get to their wedding day. After meeting in Chicago they had secret crushes on each other and friends for over a year. Not long after they made things official, Alex was transferred to New York but moved to Denver to be together. Since Alex's family lives in Dallas and Matt's in Denver, they decided to go for an intimate destination wedding with their closest friends and family. The 30a area has a special meaning to them since Alex's family lived there for a time as she grew up.
The design they chose for the whole day was elegantly simplistic. Alex's Vera Wang gown was an incredible choice for a beach wedding. Even the delicate lace detailing on the cap sleeves mimics the natural vegetation around the area the the greenery used in the bouquets. The palate of seafoam blues and greens was found everywhere from the Rosemary beach location to Alex's getting ready robe.
The highlight of the day was the family-style reception under twinkling string lights as the sun set along the sea's horizon. The stunningly simple cake was highlighted by an oyster-shell chandelier that hung above, which also complimented the oyster table runners on the reception tables.
Alex & Matt have the sweetest love and they truly deserved to be celebrated the way they were that gorgeous, September night.
